Random Thoughts

Moments in the shower for me are some of the wonderfully ethereal experiences of my day. As the waterdrops from the shower drizzle upon my head, I reflect. As the waterdrops from the shower drench my face, I pray. It seems to be automatic that I fellowship a lot with the Lord in the shower almost every day. So this morning, as I was getting my bath, I had a random thought about Nick Fury. "Well," you may think, "how carnal can it get?" But anyway, my mind was taken to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and that car scene where his car literally indicated the level of the glass integrity.

So I thought, Fury must have been very rich to acquire such a car. But my thoughts were interrupted by the Lord, and I learnt that it was actually the power and authority he had in S.H.I.E.L.D. that had gotten him such a technologically sophisticated vehicle. It wasn't really money he had per se, because it's for sure that the car was custom-built to suit the work he was involved in...and being so valued and important, it was given to him.

He then drove home the most important point: the anointing is everything. The anointing of the Holy Spirit actually produces wealth. The anointing makes you rich. You don't need to try to seek to be wealthy, the anointing will make you wealthy. Make the anointing your priority. Seek the Holy Spirit. Remember that the Word says the blessing of the Lord makes you rich? (Proverbs 10:22).

Actually, that blessing is the Person of the Holy Spirit: the Anointing. You see, in Galatians 3:13-14 says, Paul the Apostle speaks of the blessing of Abraham coming upon the Gentiles and we receiving the promise of the Spirit. The blessing is the promise and the promise is the Spirit. So, in all your life as God's child, all he has ever wanted to give you is His Holy Spirit, because that's the blessing! Hallelujah!

No wonder Jesus had the seven Spirits of God mightily in operation in His life (Isaiah 11:2).

Go for the Spirit. He is everything. You can know Him through the Word of God, for He is your 'allos parakletos' just like Jesus (see John 14:16,26). Fellowship with Him daily as you worship and pray in the Spirit.

Of course, I can't leave you without reminding you to guard your heart with all diligence and that you must think thoughts that are true, honest, noble, pure and praiseworthy! (See Proverbs 4:23; Philippians 4:8).

This was also another random thought!
