by Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah
Jesus had immeasurable faith but was also full of compassion. It was compassion that moved Jesus to raise the dead young man, the only son of the widow in the city of Nain (Luke 7:13-14).
It was compassion that moved Jesus to groan in the spirit, become troubled and weep before praying to raise Lazarus from the dead (John 11:33-44).
Faith and compassion are what you need to have a fruitful ministry. Some preachers are full of faith but are very wicked and insensitive to the plight of the poor....Jesus had a very effective ministry because he ministered with compassion and faith....
Sympathy never works any miracles, but compassion always does.
During Gospel crusades, the combination of faith and compassion showered on the crowd can spark and release the anointing of God for healing and the working of miracles....
The two blind men were moved by faith to cry to Jesus for their healing, and Jesus was moved with compassion and healed them (Matthew 20:29-34)....
If you forsake all and preach with compassion, Jesus Himself will give you many times over anything you forsake in order to preach the Gospel (see Matthew 19:29)....
God is looking for young men and women who are willing to enter into the deep realms of the supernatural and come out with unquestionable proof that the power of God is still at work when we preach the Gospel with faith and compassion.
