Agree with the Word

Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

(Amos 3:3)

God has called humanity into fellowship with Himself. His utmost desire is to be in communion with us; for us to know Him and have conversations with Him. That's why He created man. God created Adam to be His partner in taking care of His creation.

After the fall of mankind, that fellowship was broken. Man could not have that intimacy with God anymore. And so He sent His Son Jesus into this world, whose life became a ransom for ours so that we may receive new life that would qualify us to be partakers of the divine nature.

Today, everyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God is born of God and becomes a child of God. But it's not enough to be a child of God. God wants you to walk with Him. Christianity is a life of continually walking with God in fellowship to which He has called you (1 Corinthians 1:30; 1 John 1:7).

God called Abraham his friend. We are the Seed of Abraham. What made Abraham God's friend? He walked with God. He had conversations with God. He was a man of faith. He acted on God's Word.

In any relationship, communication is a vital backbone for its sustenance. God has made it possible for us to get into His mind by making His Word and His Spirit available to us.

The Word of God is His thoughts clothed with vocabulary and He wants us to walk with Him by agreeing with his Word.

You cannot make much progress in life if you are constantly in opposition to the word. In truth, you will end up in death. The Bible says they that are in the flesh (in opposition to the Word) cannot please God.

Decide to get the Word into you and think upon it constantly. Let it saturate your thinking. He says be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). He also says be renewed in the spirit of your mind (Ephesians 4:22-24).

Let go off the traditions of men and embrace God's counsel as revealed in His Word!

Be a Word practitioner.

Agree with the Word, not only in thought, but in word and in deed!

Receive It. Think It. Talk It. Act It. Become It!
