Chronicles of GLIC Kingdom Chapel

On the 30th of August, 2017, Pastor Samuel Fianko shared "Four Vital Activities of the Human Spirit". Quoting from Colossians 2:6, he pointed out that our identity in Christ conditions our lives in this world. Our minds therefore play an important role in our walk with Christ and this requires us to renew our minds every moment, second and day (Romans 12:2).

You need to let the Word of God become your consciousness. The Word must saturate you until the very way you talk, think and act changes and conforms to the Word. When this becomes true in your life, everything about changes.

The following are the activities:

1. MEDITATE ON THE WORD

Joshua 1:8 teaches us to meditate on the Word of God day and night. The Word of God is the Person of Jesus Christ.

 

Therefore the more you meditate on the Word you are transformed and made more like the Christ.

2. CONFESSION OF THE WORD

 

Your faith is expressed in your words and actions. You cannot go around talking defeat as a Christian. Your identity is in the Word of the God and the more you confess it the more you are brought into the light of that revelation.

3. PRAYER

We saw from Luke 18:1 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16 that God admonishes us to pray without

ceasing. Prayer affects us and not God. Prayer changes us as human beings. Two prayers that every Christian needs to pray are Ephesians 1:17-19 and Ephesians 3:14-19. We need also to pray eternal prayers in our walk with Christ.

4. SPEAKING IN TONGUES

 

1 Corinthians 14:2, 4, 18 and Jude 1:20 show us how vital speaking in tongues is to the believer. When we speak in tongues we speak mysteries and we speak unto God not men. It is important to speak in tongues as a Christian. That's how you can access deep mysteries of the Kingdom of God as Paul did. Even though Paul did not physically walk Christ when He was alive, Paul was able to understand the mysteries of Christ’s 

ministry.
