The Science of Faith

2 Corinthians 10:2-5 says, "But I beg you that when I am present I may not be bold with that confidence by which I intend to be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." Contrary to popular teaching, Pastor Enoch shared that this portion of Scripture is actually a discourse on adjusting your mental structures to align with the Word of God- not necessarily spiritual warfare. This is because, whereas the Lord desires to affect your life with His Word, opposing thoughts in your mind war against His Word thereby disallowing Him from working in your life.

He charged the brethren to intentionally engage in listening to at least two messages every day and recommended the Pastor Chris Digital Library and/or the CEYC Airport City Podcast Channel.

Continuing his riveting message on The Science of Faith, on the second night of faith and power, Pastor Enoch zoomed into deeper processes pertaining to the workings of the Word of God in the mind and in the heart. He hinted that the Word of God is the only material for faith as seen with Abraham (see Romans 4:18). Remember that God is only committed to His Word!

The man of God taught about the seen and the unseen based on 2 Corinthians 4:18, explaining that the unseen, which is the Word of God is eternal and divine, whereas the seen is temporal and centered on man. Thus, faith is the area of the unseen. He went on, "When you deal with things which are not seen, you're dealing with God. When you deal with things which are seen, you are dealing with man."

He disclosed that the "heart" in Biblical sense refers to the spirit of man. In addition, God can only relate with us from our spirit, because He is Spirit (see Ecclesiastes 3:11; 1 Peter 3:4). He said, "You spirit can make transactions with God. As a Christian, be inside-minded. The more you grow your faith, the better you can do. The conversion of the Word into faith happens in your spirit."

In addition, he explained, "The Word of God is an unseen, heavenly, uncompressed material with creative and operative ability in it."

Reading from Psalm 119:89, the man of God revealed that even though the Word of God is settled in heaven, it only becomes present in your life when your spirit contacts it. Essentially, your spirit has to see it.

He illustrated with clarity how the light of the Word permeates through the mind into the spirit using a unique diagram and walked viewers through a treasury of verses worth meditating on, including Isaiah 2:1, Mark 11:23, Proverbs 4:20-22, Proverbs 24:14, Ephesians 1:17,. Romans 4:1, Luke 4:4, and Jeremiah 15:16.

He dwelt extensively on Proverbs 4:20-22, which says, "My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh." From there, he adumbrated three key things that must happen for you to realize faith in tangibility.

First of all, you must INCLINE your ear to the Word of God, having given it your attention. To incline means to step aside and listen. He pointed out, "You must incline until you find."

Then, you must FIND the Word. It is when you find it, that you see it. The seeing is in the finding. Pastor Enoch said, "When light comes, faith is there!"

Tune in tonight at 8:30pm to discover the next step after finding: EATING.

It will be a night of impartation of the Word and the Spirit! Connect on YouTube (CEYC Airport City/Pastor Enoch).
