A young lady was notified of her termination of appointment at her workplace. Out of nowhere, her colleagues present were startled by how she erupted into sporadic praise! She announced aloud, "Glory to God! This firm just lost their best worker!" And with that, she hopped out of that office rejoicing! Those around her thought she was raving mad! But they did not know what she knew- walking by faith!
If you were in her shoes, what would you have done?
In a deeply engaging teaching session, Pastor Enoch taught the teeming viewers about the two pivotal effects of the Word on you. He pointed out that the Word of God remodifies your response pattern and your thinking pattern! As seen in the anecdote he shared, the lady's response pattern had been completely altered by the Word so much so that she could not help but give glory to God in the midst of such seemingly disheartening news.
The man of God taught that faith is not vim, neither is it positive thinking; faith is not religious philosophy, neither is it a mental phenomenon.
According to Hebrews 11:1, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Pastor Enoch explained that faith is a tangible commodity. Thus, it is evidential.
Reading from Mark 7:13, where Jesus says, "making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do," he pointed out that traditions are mental structures that inhibit the effectual operation of the Word of God. Citing several examples, the man of God literally dashed into pieces some Ghanaian traditions that have held believers captive, rendering them incapable of fully expressing their faith.
As the man of God taught, a mighty anointing was present and an inspired song laced with the Word came forth:
Lord, I live by Your WordLord, I live by every Word from Your mouthI am like a tree by the streamsI am bearing fruits; my leaves are greenOh Lord, I live by Your Word.
It was truly a night of faith and power!
Tune in tonight at 8:30pm for the second dose of the Word that will place you on a trajectory of ever-increasing faith: CEYC Airport City (on YouTube).
