At last week's mid-week Service, Pastor Samuel Fianko introduced his message by reading from Colossians 3:2.
He encouraged the congregation to set their minds on the Word of God and keep it set there, just as you set an alarm clock.
He intimated, "Dominate your thinking with the Word."
The Word of God needs to come out of you when you speak; it should be your reflex action, such that it is your response to every circumstance of life.
He continued the teachings on the 13 things you need to know about giftings as follows:
5. Your gift makes room for you.
Reading from Proverbs 18:16, Pastor Sam explained that your gift brings you before great men. Examples of gifted people who stood before great men include Daniel, Joseph and Archbishop Duncan Williams.
Your gift is worth killing for but God has given it to you free of charge. Your prosperity is in your gift (Proverbs 17:8). Your anointing is in the your gift.
6. The more you use your gift the more it grows.
(Luke 19:13-17)
When you trade with (use) your gift it grows. You gain by trading. Reinhard Bonnke said, 'The reward for hardwork is more work.'
Pastor Sam emphasized that your gift is not for commercial purposes. However, your talent can be used for commercial purposes. Hence, you don't demand for anything when you use your gift.
As you use your gift, people will give unto you.
7. Even though your gift is irrevocable, if you do not use it, the Lord will find someone else to work through with the gift.
If you get scared or reluctant or feel too big to use your gift, the gift becomes irrelevant. You are not irreplaceable. God will find someone else to work through if you are unwilling to use your gift.
