Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah audaciously opens the 2017 G-Youth Camp

Expectations  have  risen  to  an  all-time  high  as the  glorious gathering  of  G-Youth  from all  across  Ghana  kickstarted  on  the  night  of  Monday,  the  7th  of  August,  2017. Hundreds of  G-Youth  have  already  flocked  to  the  University  of  Ghana campus for what  is set  to  be a  week  of  impartation  and  soaking  in  the  Word  of  God that  will  birth audacious giant killers.

This year's camp is themed "Audacious Youth for Christ" (1 John 5:4-5). Bishop  Matthew  Addae-Mensah,  the  Presiding  Bishop  of  Gospel  Light  International Church,  shared  deep  truths  on  "How  the  devil  can stop  you  from  becoming  an Audacious Youth."  He  began  by  admonishing  the  teeming  masses  of  youngsters seated to  realize  that  they  have  come  to  the  campmeeting  for  a  purpose.  He said,  "You are not  here  just  to  be  added to  the  number,,,  you must  leave  this  place  fully  loaded. Write  down  notes.  You  are  not  here  for  play...You will  have  an  encounter  with  God  in this meeting  and  that  encounter  will  turn  your  life  around;  some  of  you  will  walk  into your  worthy  place  and  experience  the  supernatural.  It  is my  prayer  that  Jesus will reveal Himself to you."

The  man  of  God  explained that  to  be  audacious means to  be  bold.  He  shared  the  story of  David,  who,  at  the  age of  seventeen,  defied the leader  of  the  Philistine  army, Goliath,  despite  his  youth  and  stature.  Bishop  challenged the  youth  present  to  see themselves  as  audacious,  just  as  David  saw  himself  as audacious.  He  pointed  out  that the  devil  cannot  intimidate  us.  He  further  taught  that  David  knew the  power  of  God was  available  to  him  to  slay  Goliath.  He  then  emphasized  that  audacious youth  are giant  killers because  they  do  great  things in  the  Name  of  Jesus!  Audacious  youth  are not afraid to take risks in the Name of the Lord! Bishop  cited some  of  the  weapons  of  the  devil  as keeping  God's  people  in  ignorance, enticing them with deeds of darkness and accusations. He  challenged the  youth  not  to  tolerate  sin  in  their  lives  and  to  soak  themselves  in  the Word of God. He urged them to study the Word of God so as to receive light. Reading  from  the  theme  verse  of  the  camp,  1  John  5:4-5,  the  man  of  God  indicated that  one  can  overcome  anything  the  devil  throws at  them  because  they  believe  that Jesus is the Son of God. Under  a  strong  unction  of  the  Spirit,  the  man of  God  prophesied  profusely,  "You  will do  things that  will  surprise  people...great  and  mighty  things.  Some  of  you  will  pastor mega Churches. Your dream will come to pass."

The  man  of  God  challenged the  youngsters to  get  involved in  the  work  of  ministry, and not to be 'loners' who are not associated with any work in the House of God.  It  was indeed  a  blessed  time  of  revelation  and  insight  with  the  man  of  God  Bishop Matthew  Addae-Mensah on  the  first  night  of  Camp  2017.  Don't  miss out  on  any  of  it- get  to  the  Central  Cafeteria  of  the  University  of  Ghana,  Legon  and  register  (if  you haven't) to participate in this awesome week of God's glory and splendour!
