Honour

One Thursday evening, I attended a glorious WORDThursday Service at Pent. I arrived at the Service quite late and realized that they had even finished sharing the Word.

However, the shepherd there, Sheriff, insisted that I still share "something" with two new ladies who were present in the Service, Selasi and Hilary.

So I began to share with them on the importance of meditation on the Word which is actually the mother of memorization of Scripture. The anointing was so strong as I was sharing. I recall clearly that as I kept sharing, the Spirit reminded me of a quote by Pastor Isaiah, which I believe is very relevant today: "Use the Scriptures to paint the picture of your future."

Fast forward to after we closed the Service...and I was really touched by what one of our members, Eugenia did.

As I walked her to her hostel, we were sharing the Word and discussing how to grow spiritually...and then instead of her to go into the hostel so that I also get into the taxi and go to my hall, she rather follows me towards the taxi.

Hmmm...

What is going on here? She wanted to pay my taxi fare. I was really touched and felt honoured by what she did. I pried, "Why do you want to pay it for me?" She replied, "Because I just feel I have to."

Well, I was hesitant to allow her. But I also know about the principle of giving and receiving, especially when it comes to giving to bless those set over you as spiritual stewards.

So I received it and blessed her.

I'm just so glad and excited that there is this new generation that understands honour even though they have not really entirely been exposed to teachings on it.

God bless you, Eugenia! You will forever experience increase in knowing the goodness of God, in Jesus' Name!
