When you get acquainted with a great person you really look up to, never ask them for 'things'; get to the bottom of what made them who they are. Discover what they know. Learn from them. Learn from their challenges, experiences and their daily manner of life.
"That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises." (Hebrews 6:12)
Look at Joshua and Moses. Joshua followed Moses closely, learning from Him and being taught of the man of God.
Be a giver, not a taker!
Find out a need in that person's life and meet it secretly.
That's how the grace upon them is released into your life!
