5 Things you need to know as you journey through 2017

The Lord desires greatly to use young people.

For you to be successful in your journey, you must prepare yourself otherwise things may take you unawares and your expectations may not be met.

1. Make the Word of God your focal point. Be directed by the Word of God. It will enable you to make impact.

It's not about what others are saying about you. It's about what God says.

Joshua 1:3-8

Everything God has given to you depends on you. Believe what the Word says about you.

You cannot receive it if you don't believe it. There's no geographical limitation to your success.

Remind yourself of the Word of God in the midst of adversity.

Psalm 110:2

Associate yourself with the Word of God. It's by your might but God has said it. Every place the sole of your foot shall tread shall be yours.

You need the Word to be prosperous and have good success. Don't look down upon yourself.

Spend quality time meditating on the Word. Read the Word. The Word of God will always renew your mind and thinking.

Believe the Word.

2. Lead a sanctified life; a lifestyle of holiness and righteousness.

Christianity is not business-as-usual. Don't live your life anyhow.

Reject the deeds of darkness.

Live a sanctified life so that God can work among you.

Joshua 3:1,5

God wants you to have uncommon testimonies therefore sanctify yourself.

Let your heart be at peace through a sanctified life.

God cannot work miracles among people who have not sanctified themselves.

Lifestyle signifies clothing. Don't lie.

Certain attitudes must be put aside; stop being lazy and sloppy. Stop procrastination.

Get up and work.

Make good use of the time God has given to you.

Get close to God through prayer.

You cannot live a sanctified life without prayer. When you pray, God works for you.

Shake off the lazy attitudes.

You've got to fly this year.

3. Be an eagle not a chicken.

Chickens can only see two feed. They only eat and talk! They cannot see far.

They cannot fly and are cowardly.

Put aside cowardice and face life like with the eagle's attitude.

Eagles can fly 30000 feet above the ground. They can see as far as 18 miles. They can fly and look at the back.

Fly like an eagle.

Be serious with life. Don't take life too easy. But don't be stressed out or compare yourself to others.

Be yourself; aim high!

Don't marry where you are; marry where you're going.

Destiny is not a destination; it's a journey.

You can do better no matter what you have achieved.

Challenge every disaster with your dream.

Don't let anyone look down on you.

Excuses are no substitute for success.

4. Don't abandon your faith.

Faith makes the impossible possible. People who walk by faith get things done.

Luke 22:31

When your faith gets cardiac arrest, you're finished.

2 Kings 2:8, 12-15

All things are possible!

Follow the faith of your leaders or fathers. Imitate their faith. Faith can be imitated.

Believe that with God all things are possible.

The impossible will become possible. You will see only possibilities when you walk by faith.

5. Overcome the storms.

Storms are unexpected. Don't fear them.

Acts 27:14-20, 22-24

When storms come in your marriage, health, job, finances, don't give up hope.

Anytime there is a storm, look up to God.

You nay lose some things, but you shall not die by the storm.

In times of storms, speak prophetically!

Anytime you're faced with storms, don't keep quiet.

For your sake, your household, friends, and all those around you will be saved.

Mark 4:35-41

Don't stay in your comfort zone.

When you walk without faith, you get terrified by any news.

Whenever there are storms, speak faith.

Storms only understand the language of faith.

Invite others to Church this year; don't come to Church alone.
