Highlights of the Deliverance & Intercession Conference 2016 (Day 2)

God has called us into a supernatural life where we demonstrate his power daily.

A very rich man was grievously vexed with some chronic pain in his back for several years. He called for a twenty-four year old preacher to come and pray for him. The young preacher prayed for him and to the glory of God, he was completely healed.

The best part of it is that the rich man took the young preacher to his basement and showed him six tortoises which he claimed to be his gods. He asked the young preacher to get rid of them; the rich man believed in the power of Jesus Christ.

The young preacher in the above testimony was Rev. Dr. Anthony Cudjoe. Immaculately clad in his grey suit, he received the microphone from Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah to share a revelatory message on Warriorship.

But before that Bishop pointed out that intercession is one of the major pillars in church planting and church growth. He talked about the fact that many Churches are now relying on systems to do the work of the ministry instead of the power of intercession.

He also recapped his message from day 1, indicating that God has given us power to;

# Resist the devil

# Cast demons out

# Bind them

# Loose those bound by them

# Tread upon serpents and scorpions.

Rev. Dr. Cudjoe said that sometimes the people who really move things are not popular. "It's always the obscure that keeps the obvious." He alluded it to the face and the heart; the face is what all people identify you by but your heart (which nobody sees) is what keeps you alive.

He also said, "The revelation you know of what you have determines the benefit you get from it," encouraging the brethren to appreciate the Bishop.

He indicated that one of the most important sectors of any nation is defence. This is because until you are sure of your safety of existence, you may not be able to do anything.

God has given us the ministry of defence.

In the past, they had watchmen and gatekeepers who kept the city. It is high time the Church gave the intercessory ministry the right posture.

In truth, every believer must be a warrior.

Even God's intentions for your life must be warred into existence.

He shared one of the vital attitudes of a warrior, saying that warriors don't talk anyhow. They gather intelligence but such information is not for public consumption. He taught that prayer warriors must not be gossips who spread fear and panic among God's people. The point is that you may not be permitted to share with anybody that which God shows you. Do private warfare.

You are not a civilian; be careful what you say and what you share with others.

He also talked about the attitude of alertness. As a watchman, you must be alert. A serious soldier makes the best use of all his faculties.

Jesus said He will build His Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

The Christian call is a call in which other entities will try to oppose you but we must possess the land.

Jesus sent us as sheep among wolves. In other words, He has sent us into an environment that can eat us up.

It takes sensitivity and dexterity to survive in this terrain.

You cannot be a soldier without authority.

Jesus has given this authority to us (Luke 10:19).

Dr. Cudjoe recalled when Archbishop Benson Idahosa said, "The call of God is a call with backing." (Mark 16:20)

God will never come on the scene until we bring his intervention.

God is for us. The Holy Spirit intercedes for us and Jesus also intercedes for us. Now, we must team up with God in intercession in order to make manifest his works through our lives in this world.

It's so important to pay attention to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

God is looking for an available person. There's a calling to prayer.

God brought you to Himself because He needs you.

Need will bring you to God but when need brings you to God, His will takes over. Your temporary challenges are not the focus; God has a bigger plan.

Look at the children of Israel at the Red Sea; they are praying to God to save them because of the approaching Egyptian army. Then God says 'Move forward.' He has a bigger plan!

You didn't come to God; you were brought to Him. You did not choose Jesus; He chose you (John 15:16). As such you must be ready to do what He says (Matthew 6:33).

Based on that firm foundation, the man of God began his discourse by reading from Psalm 144:1,2:

"Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: [2] My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me."

Life is a war consisting of several battles. One of the weapons of our warfare is speaking in tongues. It is a coded language. "Battles are fought in coded language," he said. Speaking in tongues is one of  your basic equipment as a warrior. When you speak in tongues, you speak divine mysteries.

Marriage could be a trap or a setup; it's spiritual warfare. In Judges 14:4, God intentionally set up the marriage between Samson and Delilah so that he could infiltrate the Philistine camp and destroy them.

Marriage creates access.

If you marry your marriage well, it becomes a platform for God.

"Ladies, don't let your age drive you to do 'Reduced to Clear!'" He said.

He poignantly posited, "The family is a very sensitive nerve in the nation. It's always a high target of the devil."

As soon as the firstborn of the Egyptians were killed, Pharaoh let the people of Israel go!

Take authority; release your authority.

It is recorded in 2 Samuel 5:17-20 that the Philistines came to war with their images. You must meet your challenges with your God.

Do all your things with God; your business, your ministry, your education, politics...everything!

Don't take things for granted.

Don't let the devil take over; control the atmosphere! Speak, and it will come to pass!

There is a difference between prayer and speaking. Many believers pray a lot but do very little speaking; you must pray and speak (Mark 11:23).

He said, "If we don't pray, we tie the hand of God."

The man of God dwelt on 'praying through' in his conclusion. He explained that we must do our praying full term. Don't do half-baked prayer. You need prayer to preserve and protect what you've got. As you pray through, your victory will be forever.

With hands lifted up in an electrified and supercharged atmosphere, the congregation prayed earnestly, responding to the call to intercession and receiving the release of the gifts of the Spirit. He noted that the gifts of the Spirit are also logistics which serve as weapons of warfare.

Join us tonight at the Phenomenal Faith Cathedral for another energizing and enlightening session!
