See through God's lenses!

Light (love) extinguishes darkness (negativity, doubt, fear and skepticism).

The most powerful statements in the world may well be the shortest as well. Take, for example, the words of our Youth Pastor, Rev. Albert Bartlett-Mingle: Potential is untapped ability. When I think of this statement, it unlocks immense inspiration for me to be the best of who God desires for me to be. If potential is untapped ability, then it can also mean that it is unrecognised ability; which can also mean that the returns and proceeds which accrue from the usage of that ability has not yet been realised. In other words, no man is without value!
Two years ago, I walked into an optician's. There seemed to be a deteriorating trend in my eyesight which needed attention. So, as we discussed my condition, the optician sent me to a back room to test my eyesight. She handed over to me a huge pair of glasses and asked me to put them on. I did as she instructed. Well, when I wore the glasses, she asked me to look up to a certain special board. I did so, but my sight was the same way it was. She changed the lens of the glasses. This time, it was much better, but the things I saw seemed a bit jumbled up. She said to me, 'Read out what you see.' I did, but I don't really think I succeeded!
Finally, she flipped the lens to a perfect match that solved my condition. It was like new light had entered my eyes. I saw clearly. Now, I did not want to take off the somewhat heavyduty goggles. So, the woman wrote a prescription for me and I went to the front desk and got my new glasses.
What am I driving at? It is important, as God's children for us to see things the way God sees them, and say what God says.
Many a time, a lot of God's children around the world are tempted to evaluate people and circumstances from a natural standpoint. However, that's not what God desires His children to do. John 3:16 shows us how that God loved everyone to the extent that he traded His Only Begotten Son for these people who were in a sense, worthless (Romans 5:8).
It is an indication that God has placed a value on every man's life irrespective of his status, naturally. In the eyes of God, once Jesus died for that person, he is of great value. Whether it is a mad man shouting on the streets, a teenager selling sachet water, or even one who says he does not appreciate who God is, God still loves them and has placed a value on their lives. In the same vein, we are mandated to recognise that people are important. Let us love people, no matter who they are.
Is it too hard for you to compliment a friend, a co-worker, or even a total stranger on how good they look; or how brilliant their presentation was? When you see anyone or anything, the first thing you should look out for is the best in them. When you find that out, magnify it; and you will see an improvement in the places that had question marks around them. Philippians 4:8 says, 'Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.'
The Amplified Translation of 1 Corinthians 13:7 says love believes the best about everyone.
If you have not began your journey of loving people just for who they are, start now. And if you're already on that journey, ensure that you are consistent.
I love you!
