How can I Change? (Part II)

In Part 1 of this series, we learnt that our minds serve as the basis for the things that appear in our lives. We realised that who we are as at now is no different from the way we have been thinking all along.
Today, we want to zero in on what it means for change to actually come and be retained. Everything that exists physically and tangibly in this physical realm existed, first of all, in the spirit realm. Hebrews 11:3 says, "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." In other words, whatever has been conceived physically has already been conceived spiritually.
Thoughts form the basis of anything that will ever happen. I want to stress this: your life is shaped by your thoughts. Nobody, but you, can control the way you think. Now, you desire change. Then, it has to start from your way of thinking. Until you change your way of thinking, you will continue to remain where you. If a man is in a poor state (financially), it's not because he has not received enough money; it's because he has not changed his way of thinking yet.
So, what are you going to do to effect this change you want? Let me tell you.
First of all, your mind is filled with an array of thoughts, some of which need to be changed. You see, when a man is born again, only the spirit of the man is recreated. He is now born of the Spirit and of the Word. You have to realise that it is a spiritual infusion of life by the Holy Ghost.
Now, this divine and glorious experience has no effect on your mind. It has no effect on your body. It only influences your spirit- the inner man; the real you.
So, your mind needs to come in alignment with your recreated human spirit so as to come in conformity with who God wants us to become.
Romans 12:2 says, 'And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.'
Your mind needs a renewal!
