Seven Reasons not to worry (Matthew 6)

Have you ever gone to bed at one time questioning, “What shall I do about so and so?”? Well, if you have, you won’t- ever again- because God says ‘…do not worry…’ (Matthew 6:25)! Let’s examine what the Word says concerning worrying:
1.   The same Father who created life in you can be trusted with the  details of your life.(v. 25)
2.   Worrying about the future hampers your efforts today.(v.26)
3.   Worrying is more harmful than helpful; considering its psychological effect.(v.27)
4.   God does not ignore those who depend on Him.(vv. 28-30)
5.   Worrying shows a lack of faith in and understanding of God. (vv. 31,32)
6.   Worrying keeps us from real challenges God wants us to pursue- seeking the glorious Kingdom and pursuing righteousness.(v.33)
7.   Living one day at a time keeps us from being consumed with worry. (v.34)
Having kept this in your heart, be reassured that your life is in His Hands. Kirk Franklin puts it, “Remember there’s a friend named Jesus who will wipe your tears away.”- if there will be any.
